Clinton McEntyre is a Worimi man of the Hunter Valley, and Wonnarua descent. In 2022 he completed a final year of a Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of Technology Sydney. Clinton has many years of experience working in the public service, starting on the frontline in housing and homelessness, working to achieve positive outcomes for Aboriginal people and families. Clinton has worked in public policy and programs that include whole-of-government reforms designed to improve outcomes for vulnerable children, young people and their families. More recently, Clinton was driving a new initiatives within that work in collaboration with Aboriginal communities and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCO’s) to design a homeless service that is delivered by Aboriginal people for Aboriginal people. Clinton has also worked in partnership with key stakeholders to deliver mandatory Aboriginal cultural capability training across the public service that aims to improve cultural awareness of staff that then reflects on improving service provision to Aboriginal children, families and communities.
