Gavin Wanganeen Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship

Gavin Wanganeen is the first Aboriginal Australian to receive an AFL life membership after playing 300 official matches. He is also a premiership star, Brownlow medalist, five-time all Australian and Best-and-Fairest winner with Port Adelaide Football Club. He is a role model for Aboriginal youth in Australia and UniSA is the first university in Australia which has identified a commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education in its charter.
