Hugh Alexander Grierson Trust Bursary
Established in 1982 with a Trust Fund of approximately $12,000 set up under the will of the late Mrs Stella Maria Jane Grierson, of Croydon, Victoria.
If you are a successful applicant of this scholarship you will receive $5,000 per year for the minimum number of years required to complete your course.

Eligibility Criteria
If all the below statements describe you and your current situation, you can apply for this scholarship:
I am an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander; and
I am or will be enrolled full-time in a diploma or undergraduate degree.

Preference will be given to applicants who are enrolled or intend to enrol in veterinary science or scientific research.
How to Apply
Prior to completing an application, you should carefully read the Scholarship Rules below. Applicants wanting to apply for this scholarship must attach the following documents:
Proof of Australian Aboriginality; or a signed Statutory Declaration confirming you are of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; and
Written references (no more than three) attesting to your good character and/ or suitability to receive the scholarship;
A curriculum vitae; and
Any other supporting documentation that would assist the Selection Committee in developing an opinion as to the merit of the application.

Further Information
The Selection Committee shall, in the exercise of its absolute discretion, afford consideration to the following criteria:
Academic merit;
If possible, give preference to applicants who are enrolled or intend to enrol for studies in veterinary science or scientific research;
The character of the candidate for the award; and;
Any other criteria that the Selection Committee deems appropriate, including whether the candidate has, or will receive other financial assistance during their studies.
