Professional Certificate in Indigenous Research- subsidised short course
For over ten years, the University of Melbourne has hosted professional development programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander research students. Students have come from all over Australia to take part in our highly regarded one-week intensive program. For applicants of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, costs are subsidised and accommodation for the week-long intensive program will be provided.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a Research Higher Degree course at Masters level or above. A Research Higher Degree is defined as requiring at least two-thirds research work and not more than one-third coursework.
Written endorsement from the applicant’s principal research project supervisor and the relevant head(s) of department or equivalent.
How to Apply
Send the following supporting documents:
A one-paragraph Statement of Support from your Supervisor indicating why they have nominated you or why they think you are a good candidate for the course. For those close to submission, this statement must also indicate that you will be able to complete the assessment requirements of the course;
A confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage.
