Research Preparation Scholarship for Indigenous Students
The purpose of this scholarship is to support an Indigenous student for one year, while undertaking a program of study that will on completion, qualify them for admission to a Higher Degree by Research. This may include: Honours study, postgraduate coursework, research projects, bridging programs or other studies needed in order for the applicant to qualify in principle for a HDR.
The value will be equivalent to the current Flinders University Research Scholarship rate for up to one year of study. The scholarship will be paid fortnightly and will commence once you have evidence of full-time enrolment in the approved pathway degree.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
– be of Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, identify and be accepted as such by the community in which you live or have lived;
– be enrolled or have an offer to commence one of the pathway programs listed above (see main description);
– not have held an Indigenous Research Preparation Scholarship previously and;
– intend to apply to undertake a research higher degree at Flinders University on completing study supported by the Indigenous Research Preparation Scholarship.
