Sam Tilbrook

Sam has more than 20 years of experience across Data Engineering, Software Engineering and IT Consulting. He is conscientious about improving system quality and also enjoys being a bridge between business needs and technical solutions. The highlight of his career so far has been leading a team of 15 engineers to upgrade a government training platform, leading to a 4x increase in user count and replacing legacy paper-based data sources.

Growing up on Biripi lands near Taree NSW, education has been pivotal to Sam’s career and personal development. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science in Computing Science from the University of Technology Sydney and is the author of the “MATH MEDALS” mathematics book series. He is excited about using his technical and business improvement skills at Aurora to help improve education outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
