Courtney is a proud Worimi woman raised in Logan on Yugambeh Country. She brings extensive experience in supporting the success, wellbeing, and retention of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in tertiary education, with a strong commitment to strengthening graduate pathways and professional development.
Her professional journey is grounded in community wellbeing and leadership. She is an alumni of the Queensland Indigenous Youth Leadership Program (2023) and previous committee member for the Queensland Government, Office for Youth, First Nations Youth Strategy Engagement Group, where she contributed to the Young Queenslanders Strategy Action Plan 2024-2027.
Courtney holds a Graduate Diploma in Indigenous Health Promotion from the University of Sydney and has served as a Tutor for the Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Scheme (ITAS) for the Gadigal Centre. Her background in health includes roles as a Dental Practice Manager and Dental Nurse across community and private settings. Driven by a passion for Indigenous health and education, Courtney is dedicated to empowering communities and improving outcomes – for mob, by mob.
