Eligibility Criteria

The Margaret Ida Memorial Scholarship is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women who are undertaking an approved course of study at a university in New South Wales.

The Margaret Ida Memorial Course Assistance Fund is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women who are studying at a tertiary institution in NSW, to attend a conference or to access resources which are required to complete their course of study.

The Margaret Ida Memorial Incidentals Support Fund is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women who are undertaking a course at a TAFE in NSW, which will enable them to enter the workforce.

Applications are assessed on financial need and single men with children or family responsibilities are a priority.

How to Apply

1. Complete the Application Form
2. Ensure that you have provided the appropriate academic records and financial details, together with supporting documentation.
3. Applications must include a letter of support from your academic advisor or a lecturer dated and signed after June 1.
4. Include proof of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identity.
5. Complete the Statutory Declaration at the end of this form.
6. Return the Application Form and supporting documentation to: Scholarships Officer, AEC (NSW) Inc. PO Box 3120 Redfern NSW 2016 or email the completed application to admin@aec.org.au
