John Ross Clancy Indigenous Student Book Bursary

In 2024, USQ will offer one John Ross Clancy Indigenous Student Bursary to support an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student commencing their studies in a bachelor’s degree.

The late John Ross Clancy was an advocate for Australian Indigenous affairs, and generously bequeathed funds to USQ to advance Australian Indigenous higher education. While John Ross Clancy had many achievements, both he and his wife, Lydia, were active in initiating the Black Women’s Action group in the 1970s.
