Monash Indigenous Research Awards (MIRA) are provided by Monash University to support Indigenous Australian students undertaking Research Doctorate and Research Masters degrees.
These top-up scholarships help support students with living costs and are awarded in addition to a RTP Stipend.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be an Indigenous Australian full-time on-campus student;
Meet the eligibility criteria for admission to a research degree; and;
Meet Monash’s English language proficiency requirements.

Monash scholarships are very competitive and are awarded based on your academic record, any research outputs and prior research experience;
If successful in receiving a MIRA, please note that the standard terms and conditions as outlined the RTP Scholarship Procedures apply, with the exceptions outlined in the eligibility criteria above.
