Jade is a Punthamara woman descendant of her Grandmother and Father. She grew up in Western Sydney on Dharug land, which is the community she is known and accepted in. Jade’s background is in social impact and project management. She has been part of the management team for peak bodies in Indigenous affairs including AbSec, the Australian Indigenous Leadership Centre, and Reconciliation Australia. Jade has delivered a range of programs and events both nationally and at a state level for over a decade, and has strong experience in systems design and communications. Working as an advocate for systemic reform and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander human rights has been the highlight of Jade’s career, following her passion for self-determination of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities underpinned by Indigenous governance.
