Mark Heiss
Mark is a Wiradjuri man from southwestern NSW, born and raised on Gadigal land in Sydney. Mark holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Movement and Health Education (USyd) and a Masters in Educational Leadership (ACU). Mark attended the Harvard School of Education’s Project Zero course in 2017 and was awarded a ‘New Voice Scholarship’ from the Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL) in 2018. He is the Chair of the National Aboriginal Sporting Chance Academy (NASCA) Board and a Director at Redfern Jarjum College. Mark has represented NSW in Masters Athletics and enjoys playing and coaching various sports.
While Mark’s passion is education, he currently works in the not-for-profit sector with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people outside of the school setting.
