Rupert is a proud Darug and Wiradjuri man from the Boorooberongal Mudjin. He was born and raised in the Hunter Valley on Wonnarua country while attending school in Sydney on Cammeraygal land. Rupert worked as an Aurora Indigenous Mentor while studying at the Australian National University on Ngunnawal country, before transitioning into his role as a Community Engagement Facilitator in Aurora’s High School Program. He strives to improve education outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander students by creating strong cultural and community ties. He is dedicated to supporting students to develop a strong personal identity, setting them up for future success in all aspects of life.
