Tinara Braham
Position
Community Engagement Facilitator
Tinara is a proud Wonnarua woman with kinship ties across the East Coast. She is an artist, climbing coach, performer, and community advocate with a passion for movement, creativity, culture, and healing.
Tinara brings more than seven years’ experience working across climbing, youth engagement, artistic practice and community development. Her career in climbing has included coaching, running a climbing gym and route setting at state and national championship levels, becoming the first Aboriginal route setter to do so. She is also the founder of THIS IS NOT A DRILL!, a community focused initiative providing workshops to upskill, empower and reshape climbing spaces into something more accessible and welcoming.
Her work also extends into cultural arts and advocacy, being involved in an array of workshops, programs like the NSW Art Matters program, and community-led Crag Care initiatives. Tinara is passionate about creating opportunities for young people to explore their strengths, learn from culture, Country, and feel empowered in their journey. She is excited to bring these experiences to Aurora and work alongside our community.
