Eligibility Criteria

The award is available each year to a prospective ANU student who:
Is an Australian citizen;
Is of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) descent;
Identifies as an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person;
Is accepted as such by the community in which they live, or formerly lived;
Has completed Year 12 qualification in Australia; and
Has made an application for admission to the Australian National University to a single, or a flexible double degree with one of the programs offered by the ANU College of Business and Economics.

Deferred students who have applied for admission to the ANU in a previous intake, and then formally deferred their offer may still be considered for this award along with the commencing cohort. However, these students will need to contact the College Scholarships Office to request consideration for the award.

How to Apply

All applicants applying for admission to ANU through the direct Admission Scholarship and Accommodation Application will be automatically considered for the award based on them meeting the eligibility criteria and electing to be considered for scholarships.

Further Information

If there is no candidate of sufficient merit among the prospective student pool, the selection committee will consider continuing CBE students that meet the eligibility criteria, and award the scholarship to a second (or third) year student.

The scholarship will be offered in Semester 1 only.
