Certificate IV Scholarships
Lowitja Institute Certificate IV scholarships are available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who would like to develop their skills and knowledge in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health research.
Past scholars have completed in project management, public health, policy and analysis.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
– be Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander;
– are eligible for the chosen course and can commence in the next study semester, following award of scholarship;
– can demonstrate how requested area of study is related to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, wellbeing and aligns with the Institute’s research agenda and principles.
How to Apply
Applicants will be required to provide:
– Confirmation of Aboriginality or Torres Strait Islander descent. This must include the common seal and signed by the chairperson of an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Land Council, or an incorporated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisation, in whose area the person lives or have previously lived.
– proof of additional funding or scholarships they are receipt of in relation to the chosen course (if relevant).
– a letter of support from either their employer or an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community member making brief comments against the selection criteria.

Further Information
The Lowitja Institute will cover the cost of an approved Certificate IV course up to the amount of $15,000.
