Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this degree, you must:
– be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander;
– be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident;
– be eligible for admission and commenced the Doctor of Medicine (5099) as a First Peoples candidate as outlined in the First Peoples’ Health Pathway.
How to Apply
To be considered for this scholarship, you must complete all of the following in your application:
Study details;
program (current students): academic merit OR
tertiary education history (commencing students): academic merit;
program preferences: list of Doctor of Medicine degree at Griffith University commencing in the upcoming Trimester.
Statements:
personal statement: outline how the scholarship will support your participation and success in the Doctor of Medicine degree.
supporting documentation: provider Confirmation of Aboriginality or provide a letter from relevant community organisations (e.g. ATSICHS, IUIH and Elder or other known Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person in the community).
Further Information
Instalments of $2,500 are payable in Trimester 1 and 2 provided all conditions are met, up to the maximum value of the scholarship or minimum duration of the degree, whichever is the lesser.
