Indigenous Commonwealth Accommodation Scholarship

This Scholarship supports Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander undergraduate and postgraduate by coursework students from interstate or rural/regional Victoria. 
 
This Scholarship provides:
  • up to $7000 per year ($3,500 per semester) for full-time enrolled students for the duration of the program
  • up to $3,500 per year ($1,750 per semester) for part-time enrolled students for the duration of the program.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this Scholarship, you must:
  • be an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student;
  • be enrolling in an associate or bachelor degree, or postgraduate program at RMIT in the applicable semester;
  • be recolating or have relocated from a rural/regional area to study in Melbourne within the last foru years;
  • be able to provide proof of your Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent to the Ngarara Willim Centre for Aboriginal and Torres Strati Islander Peoples if selected as an eligible recipient and;
  • not currently be receiving an Indigenous Accommodation Scholarship. 
 
Preference will be given to students who are able to demonstrate financial hardship and who have relocated from a rural/regional area to study at RMIT.
