This scholarship assists with accommodation costs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students enrolled and studying in an approved course of study.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for an Indigenous Commonwealth scholarship students must be:
Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander students enrolled in a course of study at the University of Wollongong;
Be from regional or remote areas and/or;
Be financially disadvantaged.
Non-eligibility:
Students in receipt of the below assistance scholarships or loans from Centrelink (Abstudy) will not qualify for the below assistance under the University of Wollongong’s Indigenous Commonwealth Scholarship Programme;
Student Start – up Loan;
Residential Costs Option;
Relocation Scholarship.
How to Apply
Applicants are required to submit the following supporting documentation:
A Confirmation of Aboriginality: By a letter with a common seal signed by the chairperson of an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander incorporated organisation in which the applicant lives or has previously lived, e.g. lands council or Aboriginal cultural centre.
