Indigenous Postgraduate Research Award (IPRA)

We provide financial support to Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander research students through the Indigenous Postgraduate Research Award (IPRA). The scholarship includes a stipend to cover living costs, a fees offset which covers the cost of tuition fees, and specified allowances.

Eligibility Criteria

You must:
Be studying or applying and eligible for admission for a PhD, research masters, or professional doctorate;
Be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent and provide a confirmation of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent form stamped with a common seal belonging to a registered organisation.

How to Apply

You must register your interest for an IPRA scholarship on your Expression of Interest (EOI) when you apply for a research degree.
