Leah Armstrong Scholarship

The Leah Armstrong Scholarship program is designed to build and support a strong pipeline of educated and empowered First Nations women who are interested in working in economics, finance or community governance.

The Scholarship is named in honour of Leah Armstrong, a Torres Strait Islander senior professional with over 25 years’ business and not-for-profit experience. Leah has led the establishment and growth of some of the premier national Indigenous economic organisations and was the Co-Founder and Chairperson of First Australians Capital, an organisation innovating how First Nations enterprises access capital and support.

The Scholarship provides two scholarships worth up to $20,000 per year for up to three years to First Nations women studying or looking to study at a tertiary level in a wide range of study areas, including economics, finance, business or community governance.
