Nano Nagle Scholarship

Established by the Presentation Sisters, Queensland Congregation, to commemorate and honour the work of their founder Nano Nagle. The specific goal of these scholarships is to encourage the development of leadership skills of emerging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders through professional preparation during their studies.

Eligibility Criteria

This scholarship is open to all who meet the following criteria:
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students;
Course: any ACU degree;
Campus: Brisbane;
Ongoing contribution to, and/or leadership in, community service and support of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people;
Preference to students pursuing studies in Education or Nursing disciplines.

Please provide the following as part of the application:
 
A written statement of approximately 300 words outlining:
– why you have chosen to undertaken your degree, and what you hope to achieve with it in the future,
– how you engage with the Indigenous community and how this reflects ACU’s mission and views,
– how obtaining your degree will allow you to give back to the Indigenous community.
