Queensland Ambulance Service Tertiary and Paramedic Scholarships
The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) offers two different scholarships for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students completing a Paramedic undergraduate degree and an undergraduate Bachelor degree. The Scholarships are designed to improve workforce participation and Health equity to QLD communities.
The Jamie Jackway Paramedic Scholarship aims to financially support Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students to complete their Bachelor of Paramedic Science degree. Recipients are provided a direct opportunity to transition into the QAS workforce through the QAS Graduate Paramedic Program.
The QAS Tertiary Scholarship aims to financially support Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students to complete an undergraduate Bachelor degree at university and support students to build their professional capabilities through provision of a 12-week paid internship in the 2nd or 3rd year of university.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
– be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent;
– have commenced or continued a Bachelor of Paramedic Science degree;
– enrolled at census date and;
– be studying full time (minimum of four units per semester with a grade point average (GPA) of 4 or above.
