The Gregg Indigenous Scholarship
Established in 2019, this Scholarship has been generously donated by Michael and Suzanne Gregg. It provides financial support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students students in the Faculty of Science or the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
The Scholarship is valued at $20,000 and is tenable for one year only.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
– Identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person as defined in the University of Sydney’s Confirmation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Identity Policy 2015;
– Be enrolled or have applied to study a coursework degree in the Faculty of Science or the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, at the time of scholarship application submission.
– Identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person as defined in the University of Sydney’s Confirmation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Identity Policy 2015;
– Be enrolled or have applied to study a coursework degree in the Faculty of Science or the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, at the time of scholarship application submission.
Academic merit is also considered.
To continue receipt of the Scholarship, the recipient must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 65 each semester.
Further Information
The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of:
Academic merit; and
A personal statement outlining how the scholarship will assist them in their studies at the University of Sydney and;

Evidence of identity as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person as defines in the University of Sydney’s Confirmation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Identity Policy 2015.
Preference would be given to applicants who have demonstrated financial needs, e.g. in receipt of Centrelink payments.
