The Hanrine Foundation Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Scholarship
This scholarship is valued at $30,000, paid as $5000 per semester for up to 3 years.
Preference will be given to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students from the Pilbara, Kalgoorlie or Perth regions.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
– have completed the Certificate IV in Aboriginal Performance at WAAPA the year prior;
– be enrolled full time or part time;
– have and maintain a course progression status of GREEN and;
– be enrolled in an eligible Bachelor course at WAAPA:
- Bachelor of Arts (Acting);
- Bachelor of Arts (Dance);
- Bachelor of Arts (Music Theatre) or;
- Bachelor of Performing Arts.

Applications including your Personal Statement and Statement of Support are to be emailed to Priscilla Arthur at p.arthur@ecu.edu.au by the closing date.
You must provide a personal statement of no more than 500 words addressing the following:
– demonstrate drive and commitment to establishing your career as an artist and;
– how will the scholarships assist in addressing limitations such as but not limited to financial hardship and personal difficulties?
Applicants will also need to supply a statement of support by a current lecturer or course coordinator speaking to the candidate’s skills and/or potential, their approach or commitment to training and their readiness or suitability for further training.
