The Yakai Bursary

Yakai means ‘help’ in Kaurna – this Bursary is a financial assistance payment which seeks to support Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students in any program of study at the University of Adelaide. 
 
Up to $5,000 can be awarded, it is judged on a case-by-case basis.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person and currently be enrolled in a full-time basis.
 
Applications will be assessed on the basis of financial need, and intended use of scholarship funds (ie the outline of how these funds would support your study).
