The Faculty of Education is offering the Thomas Shadrach James Indigenous Scholarship for Indigenous students wanting to study a Bachelor of Education (Honours). This scholarship is made in honour of Thomas Shadrach James, an inspirational teacher loved and respected by his adopted Yorta-Yorta, and who influenced generations of changemakers.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
– be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander*
– be commencing (year 12) student intending to enrol in the Bachelor of Education (Honours) single or double degree in the Faculty of Education at a Monash campus in Australia;
– you must be accepted your course offer and be enrolled in a full-time load.
*To be eligible you must provide a Confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Heritage certificate or certified Statutory Declaration form to the William Cooper Institute. It can be emailed to wci-study@monash.edu.
How to Apply
No application is required for this scholarship, all eligible students will be automatically considered.
Further Information
$3,985 paid towards tuition fees per annum for up to four years and $16,000 paid in cash per annum for up to four years.
