The Elite Athlete and Performer Program (EAPP) is a Sport, Wellbeing and Residential Life initiative to support student athletes and performers dual career. This EAPP Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship is designed to support elite athletes/performers who participate in national or international competitions or events. As student athletes or performers, the opportunity to earn an income on top of an already demanding training and study load is difficult. This scholarship is designed to to support student athletes and performers in succeeding in elite competition/performances and academic goals.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
– be an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander;
– have applied to and have been accepted as a member of ACU’s Elite Athlete and Performer Program;
– be affiliated with the Australian Sports Commission OR are an international, national or state-based performing artist affiliated with an international or national performing arts company;
– have a minimum study load of part-time
– have not been awarded any additional EAPP for that applicable year.
How to Apply
You are required to provide the following as part of the application:
– a 200-word written statement outlining: your involvement in your sport or performing art, how the scholarship will assist you to reach your future goals and how you engage with the Indigenous community.
– sporting or performing arts Resume outlining relevant achievements;
– letter of recommendation from your coach, career officer manager or club;
– upload Confirmation of Aboriginality and/or Torres Strait Islander status;
– (if relevant) evidence of your contribution to recent sporting or performing activities at ACU;
– (optional) upload a photo of yourself at an event or competition that can be used for media purposes.
Further Information
This scholarship is valued from $3,000 to be paid in instalments of $1,500 over two semesters.
There are two scholarships available, for one female and one male recipient.
