Food and Agriculture Vacation Scholarship

This award will provide mentored and supported research experience on projects developed for and with Aboriginal communities in Victoria.
 
This is a one-off payment for those studying agriculture, animal studies, food science and veterinary science.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
– be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent AND identify as a person of Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage AND be accepted as such by an Indigenous community;
– be an undergraduate student at the University of Melbourne enrolled in one of the following: Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Agriculture, Diploma in General Studies, Bachelor of Science Extended and Diploma in General Studies Extended. 
 
Ranking criteria will include:
– demonstrated interest in Indigenous Knowledges;
– previous research experience;
– plans for further research; 
– lack of opportunity of research.
