I was fortunate to have an opportunity to undertake an internship with Watto Purrunna Aboriginal Primary Health Care Service. The practical hands on tasks I undertook whilst at Watto Purrunna included supporting doctors and allied health practitioners with their day-to-day tasks inclusive of general history taking, vital signs assessment and chronic disease management. I was exposed to the challenges health professionals face daily whilst working in Aboriginal health and I feel grateful to have been part of a team that worked towards improving Aboriginals peoples’ health and wellbeing.
