My internship experience at WEHI was eye-opening and interesting. I was privileged to gain perspective on the parts of research often over looked in my studies. I seen an overview of how clinical trials are set up and implemented, the various types of experiments involved in obtaining information from samples, and also attend laboratory meetings in which a team consisting of scientist, statisticians, clinicians and researchers came together for problem solving. Additionally, I gained new skills in data cleaning and data analysis using a software I have never previously used before.
