“I have had an amazing time interning at Artback NT. Everyone in the office is lovely and has warmly welcomed me into the work place. During my internship I have gained practical and office work experience. My practical experience entailed working up close and personal with artworks, writing condition reports and preparing them for dispersal—which has been my favourite part of my internship—and my office work entailed diving into Artback NT’s archives, organising and curating their poster wall and working on data entry for Artback NT’s 30 year anniversary this year. I even got to meet two well established Darwin artists—Franck Gohier and Therese Ritchie—who were part of Artback NT’s most recent exhibition, “Some Like It Hot”. I have learned a lot about the history of Artback NT and its place in supporting culture and arts in the NT and I have also been able to visit several exhibitions and art spaces during my time here. Overall, I had loved interning here this winter break!”
